Leaves deep crimson-purple throughout the summer; a seedling of ‘Schwedleri’, raised by Messrs Barbier of Orleans and put into commerce around 1946. ‘Crimson King’ is the name under which it was patented in the U.S.A See also ‘Goldsworth Purple’.
