RHS Hardiness Rating H6

Represented in the UK National Collection at Sculpture by the Lakes, Dorset, as cuttings from a plant so named at the former collection at Pershore College, which had come in turn from a garden called Easton (M. Gudgeon pers. comm.). No further details are currently known.

Three similarly named and similarly obscure clones are listed below – there is no suggestion that these represent the same sport, but they are alphabetically close and in the absence of any further details are mentioned here:

‘Golden Queen’, sold in the United States around 1958 (DeWolf & Hebb 1971);

‘Golden Sun’, at the Morton Arboretum, USA, in 1959 (DeWolf & Hebb 1971);

‘Goldstream’, at Waddow Lodge Garden, England, in 2020 (RHS 2020).
