Shrub, 0.6–3 m. Leaves 6–12.5 × 3–5 cm, elliptic to elliptic-obovate, apex acute, lower surface covered with an adpressed brown one-layered tomentum composed of radiate hairs; petioles greyish-floccose above. Flowers 8–15(–22), in a dense truss; calyx c.1 mm; corolla pale pink to almost white, with red flecks and a magenta basal blotch, campanulate, nectar pouches lacking; ovary and style glabrous.
