× Schimlinia floribunda is an exciting recent bigeneric hybrid, produced in North Carolina, and likely to flourish best in the high heat and humidity of the southeastern United States. Image T. Ranney.

×Schimlinia floribunda is the product of a cross between Schima argentea E. Pritz. ex Diels and Franklinia alatamaha W. Bartram ex Marshall (Ranney et al. 2003).
